Austin

Custom software for Austin businesses.

Black Badger builds custom CRM, ERP-adjacent, and operations systems for Austin companies, most of them on their way off Odoo or Zoho. The work runs over video from Clearwater, Florida, the same way we work with clients anywhere else in the country. You own what comes out of it. The code, the database, every account, all in your name.

Who this is for

Austin companies of twenty to a few hundred people. Usually they picked a capable platform early, Odoo to run operations or Zoho for the CRM and the suite around it, then customized it so far that they're now maintaining a software project nobody owns. We help you work out what stays, what gets ripped out, and what should become a system of your own. And when the honest answer is that you should keep the platform, we say so.

The work

We don't have an Austin office and we won't pretend otherwise. Austin clients get the same engagement every remote client gets. Discovery with the people who actually do the work, a written scope, working screens early, build reviews over video, and a handover with documentation and every account in your name. None of that depends on where you are, and none of it leaves you depending on us.

Questions Austin companies ask

Straight answers for Austin companies

Do you work onsite in Austin?

The work runs over video. That's how we work with clients all over the country, and it keeps the pace up. Promising onsite time we'd have to reschedule helps nobody, so we don't. If one session really does need everyone in a room, we work it into the scope.

Are you a partner or reseller of any of the platforms you replace?

Not now, and with some of them, never. We were partners with Zoho, monday.com, Smartsheet, and Wrike, and we ended those partnerships to build replacements. Odoo we were never a partner of. We've implemented it for clients. Either way, there's no reseller margin sitting behind what we tell you.

What is the first step?

A strategy call. Bring the report that eats the most time every month, or the customization list nobody wants to touch. You'll leave with a straight read on whether a build makes sense. If it does, a written scope follows. If it doesn't, you hear that on the call.
