New York City

Custom software for New York City businesses.

We build custom software for New York City businesses that have outgrown their platforms. CRM, operations and inventory systems, client portals, and the integrations that keep them talking to each other. You own the result. Code and accounts included. Black Badger works remotely from Clearwater, Florida, and the sequence is the same at any distance. A strategy call, a written scope, working screens early, then handover in your name.

Who this is for

New York has every kind of company we build for, and it has them at density. Wholesalers and importers moving goods through the boroughs. Agencies and studios whose retainer pipelines never reconcile. Professional firms that assemble client status by hand, and hospitality groups running locations off a spreadsheet somebody updates on Sunday night. The common thread is size. Twenty to a few hundred people, paying for a stack of subscriptions that were each configured for someone else's process. We replace the stack with one system shaped to yours.

The work

We're a Florida firm and this page won't pretend otherwise. New York engagements run remotely. Discovery happens over video with each role that touches the system, build reviews go on screen every week, and training at handover reaches your team wherever it sits, in one office or four. Ownership doesn't vary by geography. Your repository, database, hosting, and sending domain get created in your company's name from the start, and you can remove us whenever you want.

Questions New York City companies ask

Straight answers for New York City companies

Do you meet in person in New York?

Not usually, and nothing about the engagement depends on it. We work remotely from Clearwater, Florida, with clients all over the country. The parts that decide whether a build succeeds all run fine over video, including discovery with the people who actually do the work, the written scope, and the working screens you see during the build. If a project genuinely warrants an onsite session, we put it in the scope. We won't promise one casually.

Our team is split across offices and remote. Does that change the build?

No. It's the normal case. Discovery runs role by role, so everyone who touches the system gets heard. Remote staff often surface the workarounds fastest, because they feel every handoff that depends on somebody walking down a hall. After launch the system runs in a browser and on a phone, so where a person sits stops mattering.

Who owns the software when it is finished?

You do. Code sits in your repository, database and hosting on your accounts. No per-seat license, no seat count, nothing that expires. We stay as administrators for as long as we're useful, and you can remove us at any time. Handover includes the documentation and training that make removing us a real option.
