San Jose

Custom software for San Jose businesses.

We build custom software for San Jose companies. Operations systems, CRM, work order and inventory tracking, client portals, and the integrations that tie them together, all owned outright by you. Black Badger works remotely from Clearwater, Florida. The engagement runs the same at any distance. A strategy call, a written scope, working screens early, and a handover with every account in your name.

Who this is for

San Jose is where Silicon Valley's physical work happens. Contract manufacturers and machine shops, electronics assemblers, distributors, construction and trade contractors, and the service companies that keep all of it running. They hit the same wall their equivalents hit anywhere. There's an ERP or accounting system that isn't going anywhere, a per-seat platform that never fit, and a spreadsheet layer holding the day together. We build the operational layer as one system your company owns, for teams from about twenty people to a few hundred.

The work

We don't have an office in San Jose. Ours is in Clearwater, Florida, and San Jose work runs remotely, which is how most of our client work runs. Discovery happens over video with the people who actually do the work, one role at a time. Build reviews are weekly and on screen. Handover includes documentation, training, and a system whose repository, database, and hosting were opened in your company's name from the start. Removing us is always your option.

Questions San Jose companies ask

Straight answers for San Jose companies

Can you really scope a shop floor operation over video?

Yes, if the right people are on the call. We run discovery role by role and follow one job from quote to invoice while the team walks us through it, screens shared, paperwork held up to the camera when that's what it takes. We're not standing on your floor, and we make that back by iterating. Working screens go in front of your team early, so wrong assumptions surface while they're still cheap to change.

We're keeping our ERP. Do you work around it?

Yes, and that's the usual case. The books stay where they are. We build the operational system around it (quoting, scheduling, work orders, receiving, the report the owner checks every Friday) and connect the two so data gets entered once. Before we scope anything, we check what your ERP can actually export and accept.

Who owns the software?

Your company does. Code, database, hosting, and every related account are in your name from the start, with no license and no seat count. We stay on as administrators for as long as we're useful, and you can remove us whenever you want. Between the documentation and the handover walkthrough, your own developer or any firm you hire can pick it up and carry it forward.
