Replacing ClickUp in Charlotte.

ClickUp promised Charlotte agencies and back offices one app for everything. A few years in, the workspace takes longer to learn than the job. We build the narrower system that replaces it, holding only the objects your business runs on, and your company owns it. We set up and supported ClickUp for years and never held a partnership. Our focus is replacing ClickUp.

Who this is for, in Charlotte

ClickUp turns up in Charlotte with agencies and marketing teams running client work through it, operations teams inside larger companies who adopted it ahead of the official tooling, and contractors' back offices tracking jobs in it because starting was easy. They all picked it because ClickUp does everything. Then everything turned out to mean configuration sprawl, metered automations, and a reporting question the workspace can't answer. That's usually when they call.

The work, in order

What replacing ClickUp looks like from Charlotte

Audit

The audit starts from activity. Which spaces, lists and views actually get touched, which ClickApps are on and why, which automations still fire. Custom statuses get settled into one vocabulary, because ClickUp defines them per list and a workspace with four names for done can't report on anything. If the audit shows your problems are configuration rather than the product's ceilings, we say so and point you at a ClickUp partner or your IT team. Switching features off for you isn't our focus.

Migration

Migration off ClickUp runs through its export and API. Tasks, subtasks, custom fields, comments, attachments, checklists and time entries all come across, and dependencies and linked tasks get rebuilt as real relationships rather than flattened into text. Docs and whiteboards don't export as structured data, so we handle those deliberately, and most of them land in the document tool you already pay for.

Build

What gets built does less on purpose. The objects your team touches daily, screens per role, and time and money kept as one record, so hours roll into project budgets and out to invoices. The workspace stays live and importing on a schedule until the task counts and the numbers behind the last set of invoices match. Then it goes read-only.

Handover

It runs in the browser, installs to a phone as a progressive web app, and lives on hosting, database and repository accounts your company holds. Handover is documentation, training by role over video, and administrator access you can remove. No seat count, no automation meter, no tier between you and a feature. An optional support plan covers the system we built.

Our focus

Our focus is replacing ClickUp. If what your Charlotte team really needs is ClickUp working better, not replaced, we'll say so on the first call rather than sell you a build. What we build is the system that replaces it.

Why teams here leave ClickUp

ClickUp's pitch is one app for everything. The price of that is a workspace where every feature is a switch and every switch has settings. Caps on automations and guests, tiers sitting in front of the useful views, and reporting that can't see across spaces are what push growing teams out. When the real analysis happens in exported spreadsheets, the tool has already lost the job.

The work

We're not local to Charlotte and won't pretend to be. ClickUp engagements are screen work end to end, the audit, the export, the parallel run, the build, so nothing is lost over video. A Charlotte client gets what every client gets. A written scope, working screens early, and a handover with the code and every account in the company's name.

Questions Charlotte companies ask

What people ask about leaving ClickUp in Charlotte

Are you a ClickUp partner or reseller?

Neither. We hold no partnership or referral relationship with ClickUp or any platform vendor, so nobody pays us for the advice we give. The opinion comes from years of setting up and supporting ClickUp for real teams, before we changed sides. That includes the opinion we hand out often, which is that a team should stay put and simplify, with somebody else doing the simplifying.

Our workspace is a mess but the team likes ClickUp. What then?

Then you need a cleanup, and that isn't our focus. Cutting statuses down to one set, switching off unused ClickApps and pruning automations is a job for a ClickUp partner or your own admin, and we'll say so on the first call. We build the replacement when the limits themselves are what hurts, meaning the caps, the tiers, and cross-space reporting that doesn't exist.

Can you move our tracked time without breaking our billing history?

Yes, and it's the part we treat most carefully, because tracked time is what your past invoices were built from. Entries come across with the task, the person, and the original date attached. Both systems then run side by side until the numbers behind the last invoices reconcile. Nothing gets switched off on the strength of a finished build alone.

Do we need you onsite in Charlotte?

No. Discovery runs over video with the people who live in the workspace. Every artifact of the project is on screen by nature anyway, the audit, the mapping document you approve, the working screens. We work this way with clients across the country, and the handover is identical at any distance.
