Replacing Smartsheet in Atlanta.

Smartsheet holds a lot of Atlanta program offices together, one person's cross-sheet formulas doing the real work. When the grid becomes the ceiling, we build the system it was straining to be, and your company owns it. We set Smartsheet up for years as a partner before ending those partnerships. Our focus is replacing Smartsheet.

Who this is for, in Atlanta

Smartsheet shows up in Atlanta wherever a program has to be reported on. Construction and real estate program offices, logistics operations tracking work across sites, PMOs inside larger companies that standardized on the grid because anyone can type in a cell. The team we usually hear from has one person who understands the cross-sheet formulas holding it all together. And a quiet fear about what happens when that person is out.

The work, in order

What replacing Smartsheet looks like from Atlanta

Audit

The first job is reading the estate. Every sheet, report and dashboard, who owns it, its row count, when it was last edited. Sheets belong to individual accounts, so this regularly turns up a critical rollup tied to someone who has left. Every cross-sheet formula gets read for the rule it encodes and confirmed with the person who relies on it. If the audit says the grid still fits your program, we tell you that and point you at Smartsheet's own partners for the housekeeping, because housekeeping isn't our focus.

Migration

Out of Smartsheet, the export gives you rows and the API gives you attachments, discussions and cell history. Cell links come out as their last displayed value, and reports and dashboards export nothing at all, so they get rebuilt from the questions they answered. The rules that lived in formulas get rebuilt as tested code. The new system runs beside the sheets, importing on a schedule, until the rollups match.

Build

The sheet or program that hurts most goes first, in parallel, while the PMO checks counts and rollups against the grid. Projects, tasks and budgets become real records with relationships, so rollups, portfolio views and per-role screens are ordinary features instead of premium line items. Editor licenses and premium capabilities come off the renewal only after the numbers reconcile.

Handover

The repository, database and hosting sit in your company's name from the first day. Handover means documentation, training by role over video, and administrator access you can remove. The rules that used to live in one analyst's head live in versioned code with tests, so the single point of failure is gone. An optional support plan covers the system we built, and only that system.

Our focus

Our focus is replacing Smartsheet. If what your Atlanta team really needs is Smartsheet working better, not replaced, we'll say so on the first call rather than sell you a build. What we build is the system that replaces it.

Why teams here leave Smartsheet

The grid is the ceiling. Real project management in Smartsheet means premium add-ons licensed on top of every seat, business logic living in formulas one person understands, and role-based access you get by duplicating sheets. In a custom system, rollups, portfolio views and per-role screens stop being line items. The rules live in code that's tested and versioned, and a column can move without breaking the quarter.

The work

We're in Clearwater, Florida, and we work with Atlanta Smartsheet teams the way we work with most clients, entirely over video, with the estate shared on screen. That suits this work, since the whole system already lives in a browser. There's no Atlanta office. What we bring is years inside the grid and a business model with no reason to sell you more of it.

Questions Atlanta companies ask

What people ask about leaving Smartsheet in Atlanta

Can you rescue our Smartsheet program without replacing it?

That isn't our focus. A formula audit and an ownership cleanup inside Smartsheet is real work, and it's usually work for a Smartsheet partner or your own IT team. If the audit we run for a replacement shows your program hasn't hit the grid's limits, we'll say so and send you that way. We build for programs that have.

Are you a Smartsheet partner?

We were, and we ended it. We set up and supported Smartsheet for years as a partner, then walked away from those partnerships to build replacements. That's the only position from which the advice stays honest. If keeping Smartsheet is right for your program, that's what you'll hear.

Our whole program depends on one person's formulas. Do they survive?

The rules do. Every cross-sheet reference encodes a decision, and right now those decisions live in one head and a grid that breaks silently. We read each formula, write down what it enforces, confirm it with the person who relies on it, and rebuild the ones that still matter as tested code. The ones that only patched a grid limit get retired on purpose.

How do you work with a team you never meet in person?

The same way the work itself happens, in a browser. Discovery runs over video with the people who live in the sheets, the scope is written, and build reviews happen on working screens. We've run engagements this way for years. For grid work, an office visit adds travel and nothing else.
